Omaha became an important western hub because of its location within the confluence of three important rivers. The Elkhorn River feeds into the Platte River south of Omaha and the Platte then supplies the mighty Missouri River.

Because of this abundance of rivers and lakes, Omaha boasts great outdoor activities like fishing, boating, hunting and more fun.  Great for families…so how are the schools?
